The Challenge
Many young people in Kayunga District faced unemployment, limited business skills and lack of startup capital, leaving them vulnerable to poverty.
Our Intervention
WRU implemented the Start and Improve Your Business (SIYB) training packages, equipping youth with practical skills in business planning, financial management and entrepreneurship.
The Outcome
- Over 1,225 youth acquired employable and entrepreneurial skills
- 203 youth-led businesses were successfully started
- Improved household income and financial independence
